How You Could Help Us Start The Children's Wellness Program

Have you ever wanted to make a difference in the lives of our Prince William County neighbors, but didn't have the resources to make this happen? We are very excited to announce that now you do! Thanks to the USA Today Network's A Community Thrives (ACT) Campaign, you can now vote for a program that all of us here are excited about. Everyday, our programs help to feed, clothe, shelter, protect, and comfort children throughout Prince William County. We'd like to make a bigger impact, and this is where you can come in.

ACTS would like to start up a "Children's Wellness Program" that would benefit both of our Divisions here. The Beverly Warren Shelter and Safe House are in need of new jungle gyms, we need healthier food options for the food pantry, and counseling services for our housing clients. A $100,000 grant, made possible by A Community Thrives from USA Today, could make this happen. It means that the children in our area have more resources available to them, and this is a wonderful way for the nation to learn more about what we do and who we help.

A Community Thrives is a USA Today Network nationwide program that provides the resources necessary for philanthropic missions in communities to succeed. They want to empower community members to take on local challenges and share these ideas on a national platform. The USA Today Network has invited idea submissions from everyone, in communities all over the country, that can change the landscape when it comes to wellness, arts & culture, or education, and fund the best ones in an effort to create real change. They also have local and national resources to make sure that our idea is seen in hopes to get more of the community on-board, and be part of the impact.
